RGBW Regimental Museums

The Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Regiment has two regimental museums; at Gloucester and Salisbury.

The RGBW (Salisbury) Museum is in the Close of Salisbury Cathedral. Address The Wardrobe, 58 The Close, Salisbury, Wilts SP1 2EX tel 01722-414536. It has its own website (The Wardrobe). It was originally the museum of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Royal Regiment and covers that regiment plus its two precursors, The Royal Berkshire Regiment and the Wiltshire Regiment.

The RGBW (Gloucester) Museum is in Gloucester Docks. Address:- Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum, Custom House, Gloucester GL1 2HE, tel 01452-522-682. It covers both the Gloucestershire Regiment and the several yeomanry regiments of the county.
